In the holy month of Mawlid al-Nabawi, which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University held a celebration on the 25th of October, 2021. The event was organized by the Dean of Students Representatives Office, as well as Faculty teachers and students. Tishk International University organized a training course for the Faculty of Pharmacy, held on September 19th, 2021. The aim of the course was to coach the academic staff on the use of the new interactive smartboard that will be installed in all lecture rooms. The course explained the educational features and distinctive structures of the smartboard and demonstrated how to use each feature accordingly. The enhanced board is an effective tool that facilitates and improves the quality and efficiency of teaching and education. A seminar organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy of Tishk International University was held on September 16th, 2021. The course, which was presented by Dr. Ali, ISO Representative, aimed to explain the principles and processes of ISO, and highlighting the responsibilities of all staff members that are required to successfully achieve and obtain ISO certifications. Dr. Ali addressed how staff could contribute to fulfilling the conditions of ISO 21001 and how TIU is required to comply with policies and procedures of EQMS to attain learner satisfaction. The Faculty of Pharmacy arranged a scientific trip for fifth-stage students to Awamedica Pharmaceuticals in Erbil. The students were divided into two groups and visited the company on the 5th and 6th of July, 2021. Awamedica staff warmly welcomed our students and presented a short presentation about the history, establishment, and growth of the company. The presentation also covered information regarding the products and dosage forms they produce. The team further discussed their current contracts with other pharmaceutical companies and future plans for business development and expansion.
