The Faculty of Pharmacy is delighted to celebrate a remarkable achievement as its students secured first position in the 2nd Student Graduation Project Competition (SGPC). The competition provided an excellent platform for final-year undergraduate students to showcase their research projects, demonstrate their scientific abilities, and strengthen their academic and professional competencies. The winning project, entitled "Behavioral and Neuropharmacological Assessment of Ziziphus spina-christi for Anxiety Effect," was completed by Shkova Abdusattar, Sima Khairullah, Awer Salah, and Sanarya Tahsin under the supervision of Dr. Subashini Urithirapathy. On 12 May, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University held an appreciation ceremony to recognize the efforts of the pharmacy students and organizing team who contributed to the successful community service visit to Ishik Ronaki School. On 12 May, 2026 an educational outreach visit was carried out at Ishik Ronaki School as part of an ongoing community service project focused on increasing awareness among adolescents about the risks of drug misuse and abuse. The activity was organized and supervised by research assistants Dr. Reem Sarmad and Dr. Srwa Falah, in collaboration with Dr. Serdar Deyan, DOS representative, whose efforts were essential to the success of the event. Grade 2 students of faculty of pharmacy enjoyed a memorable picnic trip to Akre on December 2025, accompanied by Dr. Serdar, dean of student’s representative. The trip was organized as part of the universities’ efforts to provide students with engaging outdoor activities and opportunities for social interaction beyond the classroom. During the visit, students explored the beautiful natural surroundings of Akre, participated in fun group activities, and enjoyed quality time with their classmates. The trip created a joyful and relaxed environment, allowing students to strengthen their friendships and build lasting memories.

For the past eight years, the Autism Awareness Community Project has remained a significant initiative within the academic activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University. On May, 11, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) participated in IDCB SDG Fundraising Project to support key community service projects. The event was spearheaded by the Faculty’s Dean of Student Representatives (Dr. Rojan Arif & Dr. Serdar), students from Grades 1, along with their class advisors. Together, they sold homemade foods, drinks, and sweets, successfully raising 2,112,000 IQD to support key community service projects.
