On August 26, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University, Erbil, held a farewell ceremony for three Yemeni students-Ahmed, Nabeel, and Hilmi- who joined us for the 4-week summer training program under the auspices of the Arab student exchange program in August 2026. The event was opened by a short introductory speech by Dr. Shajwan Salar.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Javed, Head of the Pharmacy Department, welcomed the guests, Prof. Dr. Hiwa, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Dr. Dara, Head of the Nursing Department, and attendees, and expressed gratitude for the students’ involvement in the exchange program. Prof. Dr. Hiwa gave a speech emphasizing the significance of student exchange programs in developing academic collaboration, cultural interchange, and foreign experiences. Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulsamad, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of such programs in fostering academic and professional partnerships across institutions. Asst. Prof. Dr. Dara, Head of the Nursing Department, also shared his thoughts with the students and attendees.

The ceremony culminated with the awarding of certificates to the three exchange students for completing the four-week exchange program. The participants then convened for a cake-cutting ceremony and lunch, which provided an opportunity to commemorate the students’ experiences and wish them well in their future academic endeavors. The Faculty of Pharmacy wishes Ahmed, Nabeel, and Hilmi all the best, and hopes that their time at Tishk International University, Erbil will be a significant and memorable part of their academic journey.
