On February 2, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU), Erbil, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Giant Pharma, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between academia and the pharmaceutical industry. The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdulah Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Giant Pharma, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at TIU. On 28 January 2026, the Dean of Students’ Representatives of the Faculty of Pharmacy organized an appreciation ceremony to recognize research assistants for their contributions to community service projects. On January 27, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a snow picnic at Korek Mountain for pharmacy students in grades 2-5. Gali Ali Bag was the first stop on the expedition, when the students had lunch and captured photographs that would last a lifetime. The group then travelled to Korek Mountain, which was covered in a gorgeous layer of snow, providing all of the students and staff members with a joyful and exhilarating experience. On 19 January 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University organized a scientific seminar aimed at enhancing research skills among students and academic staff supporting Quality Education and Lifelong Learning. The seminar was presented by Dr. Ali Omar Yaseen, who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy and currently a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Care at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand.
