On February 27, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University, Erbil, held an informative seminar at Aynda Private Kurdish High School. The seminar, titled “The Role of Pharmacist and Healthcare of Patients,” aimed to educate students on the vital role of pharmacists in healthcare.
The esteemed staff members—Hedi Othman, Sana Sirwan Salih, and Serwa Falah—presented an in-depth look at the responsibilities of pharmacists and the significance of over-the-counter (OTC) medications. They emphasized the importance of the pharmacist-patient relationship in ensuring proper medication use and patient well-being.
An engaging video showcased the Faculty of Pharmacy’s labs and the practical application of pharmaceutical formulations, such as preparing ointments with natural ingredients like almond and lemon oil. This was followed by an interactive session where students gained hands-on experience by preparing ointments themselves under the guidance of the presenters.
The seminar was well-received by the students of Aynda High School. The visit was made more memorable by the respectful and supportive presence of the school director, Draxshan Faiq Jaff, and assistant director Fauzya, who expressed their appreciation with certificates and gratitude.
