On May 20, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Tishk International University participated in the Thailand Corner Competition, an educational and cultural event organized by the Dean of Students of Tishk International University in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Amman, Jordan. The competition aimed to promote cultural awareness, encourage intercultural dialogue, and enhance participants’ knowledge of Thailand’s rich heritage, traditions, and tourism attractions.
The Faculty of Pharmacy actively participated in the Thailand Corner Competition through four teams representing both its academic staff and students. Three teams were composed of pharmacy students, while one team represented the faculty’s academic staff. The event provided a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their presentation, communication, and teamwork skills while exploring different aspects of Thailand’s culture and tourism.
The staff team consisted of Dr. Dania Awni (Assistant Lecturer), Dr. Abeer Zuhyer (Research Assistant), Dr. Saran Qasim (Research Assistant), and Dr. Sana Aza (Research Assistant). Their presentation focused on Thailand’s tourism sector, highlighting the country’s famous tourist destinations, natural landscapes, cultural landmarks, and its role as one of the most attractive travel destinations in Southeast Asia.
Among the participating student teams, Rawsht Abdulkhaliq and Dima Dlshad from the Faculty of Pharmacy delivered a presentation on Thai culture, exploring its traditions, customs, festivals, cuisine, and social values. Their presentation demonstrated a deep appreciation of Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and received positive feedback from the judges and audience.
The Faculty of Pharmacy teams demonstrated creativity, teamwork, and strong presentation skills throughout the competition. At the conclusion of the event, two of the faculty’s teams were recognized among the top five participants. The academic team secured fourth place, while the student team represented by Rawsht Abdulkhaliq and Dima Dlshad achieved third place. These accomplishments reflect the dedication and hard work of the faculty members and students who proudly represented the Faculty of Pharmacy and Tishk International University.
The Faculty of Pharmacy congratulates all participants on their accomplishments and appreciates their contribution to strengthening international cultural awareness within the university community. This activity supports Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting lifelong learning and global awareness, and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration between Tishk International University and the Royal Thai Embassy in Jordan.
