On February 2, 2026, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU), Erbil, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Giant Pharma, marking an important step in strengthening cooperation between academia and the pharmaceutical industry.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Mohammed Abdulah Ali, Managing Director and CEO of Giant Pharma, and Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at TIU. The collaboration was organized and supported by Dr. Ahmad Hamdy Ibrahim, Head of the International Relations Office at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The MOU aims to enhance pharmaceutical education through student training opportunities, internships, workshops, and knowledge exchange between industry professionals and academic staff. This partnership is expected to improve students’ practical skills and better prepare them for future careers in pharmaceutical sciences.
This initiative reflects TIU’s commitment to building strong links with industry and promoting high-quality, practice-oriented pharmaceutical education in the region.
