On October 23, 2024, the Dean of Student Representatives (Dr. Rozhan Arif & Dr. Zeynel Polat) of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) organized an orientation program for research assistants and welcomed the newly joined members. The aim of this program was to equip every advisor with the necessary resources and information to provide robust support to students, underscoring the institution’s dedication to student success.
The main point of the event was to emphasize the vital role of advisors in guiding and motivating students in both social and academic life. They discussed the agendas for the students’ welcome ceremonies of the new academic year, aiming to create a positive atmosphere for students and as a way to foster quality education. Plans for community service projects, organizing group studies, and students’ motivational programs were also discussed to promote well-being and teamwork. In addition, research assistants were informed about the faculty’s recent accreditation, highlighting how it enhances the university’s reputation and increases the value and recognition of students’ degrees.
