On May 17, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University organized a scientific trip to Barzan for pharmacy students. The main goal of the trip was to help students learn more about medicinal plants through hands-on activities and real-life observation. This trip was part of their Pharmacognosy course, which focuses on the study of natural medicines from plants.

The students gathered at 8:00 AM on campus and traveled to Barzan by bus. Their first stop was near Barzan, where they had lunch, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful nature around them.

At the second stop in Barzan, students had some snacks and joined in fun group activities that helped build teamwork and communication.

The final and most important part of the trip involved studying local plants. Students carefully observed different types of plants found in the area and took clear photographs of them. These photos will be used in their academic reports for the Pharmacognosy subject. Each student was asked to select several plants, take notes on their appearance and location, and later research their possible medicinal uses. These reports will help students improve their research skills and deepen their understanding of how plants are used in medicine.

Before leaving, the group took a photo together and enjoyed a few more group activities. The trip was both fun and educational, giving students valuable practical experience in identifying and studying medicinal plants in their natural environment.
