Scientific Trip to Rizgary Teaching Hospital Laboratories

A scientific trip was organized by pharmacy Department to Razgari Teaching Hospital Laboratories. Students of class A First grade participated.  A tour has been made to the laboratories where different Histological process and equipment have been explained to students. So, students got an idea about how tissues are cut, preserved and stained.  Students could find a relation between the theory part where they have taught in Histology class and the practical part in the field.

On 8th of February, first grade female pharmacy students visited CMC private hospital to participate in a seminar on breast cancer as a support for breast cancer day. th additional hints The seminar consisted of two parts, the first part was on the importance of self-examination and early detection of breast cancer, which had been presented by Pro. Dr Jamal Ghafur. In the second part, Mrs.Paxshan talked about the importance of psychological treatment of breast cancer patients.

National Seminar : Professionalism as a main goal of critically thinking dentist

A seminar under the title “Professionalism as a main goal of critically thinking dentist” was held by Dr. Sherwan R. Sulaiman in the Tishk International University School of Dentistry on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. In the event, it was discussed how to think critically and how to be Professional dentist. There was a high interest in the seminar. The Senior staff of the university including Deans were ready in the seminar hall.

Dentistry Faculty students from third grade with academic staffs Dr. Bushra Rashid and Mrs.Rojan Arif had a visit  to Orphans home in KRG/Erbil, the main purpose of the visit was to be close with Orphans and deal with their social, educational and health aspect needs and also to make students get awareness of social responsibility duties.

300 kindergarten children had oral examination by a group of 13 dental students under supervision of pedodontic head department (Dr.bushra rashid )& Dr. Lava sabir .the aim was for early detection of dental  caries  and other defects in their oral cavity . At the same time dental students could practice examination and diagnosis of oral findings ,kids had fun with gifts and educationable painting pictures.

Ishık University Faculty of Dentistry Pedodontic department’s staff  with 20 dental students visited Erbil Ola primary school which is located in Saidawa in Erbil. The visit was performed in cooperation with Kurdistan Save Children Organization who provided the project with materials and gains the government’s agreements for visiting schools.   Visit impact: 1. Vaccination in the Faculty

Vaccination in the Faculty A team from the Directorate of Health Protection visited the Dentistry School upon the official invitation sent by the Directorate of the Dental Hospital. The aim of the invitation was to get students and the staff to vaccinate for the Hepatitis-B virus. The vaccination was applied to those who have not vaccinated before. Also, the staff who have not completed the required dosage of vaccination was given a complementary dosage as well. As the Dentistry School, we thank the team of the Directorate of Health Protection for their dedicated and sincere struggles and deeds.
