Orientation Programs: On November 10 an 11, 2020, the faculty of Pharmacy organized an orientation program for the second and fourth grade students. Due to pandemic situation the program was held in five sessions. In the beginning of each program the students were introduced with their faculty dean of students’ representatives, academic class advisors and class advisors. On 2nd of November Pharmacy faculty staff and a group of 4th grade students arranged an activity on the occasion of prophet Muhammad’s birthday (PBUH) to celebrate this holly day. To prevent any social gathering due to the pandemic situation the activities were limited. For this Holly occasion a special corner was arranged in pharmacy faculty under supervision of Miss Amani Tahsin and Dr. Rozhan Arif. The corner was decorated with nice flowers, candles, sweets and cards with holly Hadith was distributed for the staffs and students.

On December 7, 2020, the faculty of Pharmacy with the dean of student’s representatives organized an orientation program for the newest members of the Pharmacy family, the freshman students in form of small groups due to the pandemic situation. In the beginning of the program, the Dean of faculty Dr. Duran Kala delivered a speech to the students regarding general information about university life, the Pharmacy career, and the start of their academic journey.   On December 10, 2020 Dean of students of Tishk International University/Faculty of Pharmacy organized a hiking trip to Safin mountain. The trip was accompanied by Mr. Omer Abdulrazaq as a guider and Mr. Shaaban from nurse department as first aid staff. The class academic advisors (Dr. Zeynel Polat Miss Amani Tahsin and Dr. Rozhan Arif) started the journey with the help of Mr. Muhammed Omer from dean of student’s department at 9:00, nearly 55 students participated in this adventure. On 27th February 2020, the faculty of Pharmacy, under the supervision of the dean and head of department, hosted a seminar for its 3rd-year students presented by the pharmacist Dr. Marwan Qasim under the title of “ Pharmacist-Patient communication skills” in which the students were familiarized with the basic methods of communication with their patients in the pharmacy and highlighted the issues that may face the students giving them hints on how to overcome them.
