Each year, the Dean of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) holds a fundraising event to support the university’s community service projects and to strengthen students’ sense of helping others. This year’s event took place on December 2nd, 2025, with active participation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, under the guidance of the Faculty’s Dean of Student Representatives (Dr. Rojan Arif and Dr. Serdar) and research assistants (Dr. Shiva Sirwan, Dr. Helin Haider, Dr. Muhammed Redar, and Dr. Belan Azad). The fundraising effort aimed to support three meaningful projects that focus on health (Autism Care and Awareness), supporting children (Orphanage Support), and community care (Drug Misuse and Abuse).

Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, encouraged by their class advisors, took part enthusiastically. They contributed a wide variety of homemade foods, snacks, drinks, and creative craft items, reflecting a strong spirit of teamwork, inclusion, and kindness. Their collective effort was truly impressive, and the faculty alone managed to raise around 1,250,000 IQD, contributing significantly to the overall mission of helping families in need and supporting well-being.

Beyond raising funds, the event provided students with an important learning experience. It helped them understand community needs, encouraged them to support health-related activities, and strengthened their commitment to building a more supportive and caring campus. The cooperation between the Dean of Students’ Office, faculty members, and students showed TIU’s dedication to working together to create positive impact.

The Faculty of Pharmacy continues to lead by examples, showing how community work, care, and working together can help make a more supportive and fair society.
