To strengthen cooperation between academic institutions and the healthcare sector, a high-level delegation from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University visited AllianceMed Hospital in Erbil. The visit culminated in the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between both parties.
The visiting delegation included officials headed by Dr. Abdul Samad, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, representing the university’s International Relations Office, Dr. Mohammed Javed Naim, Head of pharmacy department and Dr. Shajwan, Scientific coordinator at Faculty of Pharmacy.
The visit witnessed the official conclusion and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding by Dr. Abdul Samad, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University, and his counterpart, Dr. Taba Jali Ziad, representing AllianceMed Hospital. Both delegations attended the signing ceremony, which was held in a positive atmosphere reflecting a mutual desire to develop student skills and support the healthcare sector with academic expertise.
This MoU aims to open new horizons for training and research cooperation, as well as providing advanced field-training opportunities for pharmacy students within the hospital’s departments.
Following the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the joint delegation conducted a field tour that covered most of AllianceMed Hospital’s vital facilities and its advanced infrastructure. The academic delegation inspected the latest medical equipment, laboratories, and the hospital’s internal pharmacy, listening to a detailed explanation of the workflow and the medical and care services provided by the hospital to its patients.
Both parties expressed great optimism regarding this partnership, which represents an important step toward linking educational outcomes with the practical and applied aspects of the healthcare sector.
