Comprehensive International Training Experience

In July 2025, Yaqeen Imad, a fifth-grade pharmacy student from Tishk International University, participated in an intensive Summer Training Program at MUST University (Misr University for Science and Technology) in Egypt. This comprehensive program offered a unique blend of academic training, clinical exposure, and cultural enrichment.

Academic Training Component

First Week – Laboratory and Research Skills

  • Practical experiments in pharmaceutics and formulation

  • Organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry applications

  • Pharmacology and preclinical research methods

  • Molecular docking and computational drug design

Clinical Training Experience

Second Week – Hospital Pharmacy Practice

  • Training at Souad Kafafi University Hospital

  • Outpatient and inpatient pharmacy operations

  • Surgical and clinical unit rotations

  • Clinical pharmacy lectures and case discussions

  • Safety and quality management in healthcare settings

Industrial Exposure

Third Week – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

  • Visit to Servier Company manufacturing facilities

  • Observation of large-scale medicine production

  • Quality assurance and control processes

  • Packaging and engineering support systems

  • Industrial pharmacy operations and standards

Cultural Enrichment

The program included significant cultural components:

  • Visits to Pyramids of Giza and historical landmarks

  • Exploration of Salah El-Din Citadel

  • Tour of Bibliotheca Alexandrina

  • Experience of Khan El Khalili traditional market

  • Cultural immersion in Cairo and Alexandria
