Visit Your Future at the Faculty of Pharmacy
In collaboration with the Dean of Students, the Visit Your Future Program was held at Tishk International University on three consecutive days, the 14th, 15th and 16th of February, 2023. 12th-grade students from all schools in the city visit the university each year. The aim is to introduce them to the university and the different faculties it withholds.
Before the visiting days, TIU staff from all faculties and departments visited each school in person. The university invited the students to visit the campus and provided the necessary transportation beforehand. The event aimed for the students to experience university life firsthand. This includes the students visiting classrooms, labs, cafeteria, library, club room, court mood, etc. The students also tour the university sections and in which a guide explains the role of each faculty and department.
Students are encouraged to listen to their intuition about what would suit their personal and academic goals, and they should set their ambition to work towards their goals in hopes of achieving them.
The Faculty of Pharmacy also participated in the event. The staff organized a stand for the students to visit, which included pharmacy equipment and drugs produced in the labs of the faculty. The assigned staff of the faculty explained the system of studies, curriculum and activities to the students. They also elaborated on the process of applying to the Faculty of Pharmacy. Our staff were more than happy to answer any question related to the faculty and the steps required for students interested in pharmacy to study.
Each group of students and their tour guide visited the faculty’s classes and labs, including the Pharmaceutical Technology Lab, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab, Biochemistry Lab, Pharmacognosy Lab and Pharmacology Lab. The lecturers and the research assistants responsible for each lab briefly introduced the lectures studied in the facility and their aim in pharmaceutical studies.
