Participation of Faculty of Pharmacy in 7th International Festival of Language, Culture, and Science

On April 25th, 2024, the Dean of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) organized the 7th International Spring Festival of Language, Culture, and Science, held under the theme of “The Spring of Coexistence.” More than 5,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds—including academics, students, and members of the local community—attended this amazing occasion.

Dr. Idris Hadi, Head of the Board of Trustees, delivered the opening address and emphasised the significance of the occasion. Prof. Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi, President of Tishk International University, and Consul General Mr. Madan Gopal, Consulate General of India in Erbil, Iraq, then also delivered speeches. More than twenty-six tents were devoted to the scientific aspect of the festival, where they displayed research and projects centred on the role of artificial intelligence. A total of 46 tents were thoughtfully designed to exhibit distinct cultures and nationalities, thereby offering participants an insight into the wide array of customs and ways of life that exist across the globe.

For food fundraising, more than twenty tents were set up, and attendees dined on a variety of cuisines. A notable aspect of the festival was the Faculty of Pharmacy’s presence, where they performed admirably in the scientific and cultural tents.

Through their cultural tents, the faculty members of Palestine, India, and Romania highlighted their respective historical, cultural, and traditional backgrounds. Different projects presented by the Faculty of Pharmacy in the scientific tent revolved around the festival’s theme and emphasised the significance of artificial intelligence in the field of pharmacy.

The festival functioned as a platform through which academic discourse, collaboration, and cross-cultural interaction were encouraged; it exhibited the ideals of harmonious coexistence and advanced worldwide peace. The occasion facilitated the participation of scholars, students, and the general public in academic discussion and cultural interchange, thereby promoting opportunities for lifelong learning and high-quality education. Fundraising efforts and the exhibition of research and projects at the festival contribute to employment opportunities and economic expansion, especially in the fields of science and culture. The festival promotes reverence for cultural traditions and heritage by commemorating the cultural diversity of various communities and nations; in doing so, it helps to reduce inequalities and foster social cohesion.
