Open Day of Faculty of Pharmacy
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) on November 22nd, organized an open day dedicated to students who have applied to the faculty. This event is tailored for applicants keen on joining our academic community. Dr. Aya Diyar, Research Assistant, started with a warm welcoming speech, followed by Dr. Rozhan Arif, Dean of Students of Faculty of Pharmacy, who welcomed all students, creating a positive atmosphere, and in her talk, she shared valuable insights about the university and explained how the Dean of Students contributes to creating a supportive and enriching academic environment. Further to this, Dr. Sarmad Jabar, Research Assistant, shared an overview of the year’s activities, and talked about the different events and projects that took place. He highlighted how the university takes care of its students, explaining various measures, such as mentorship programs and counselings services, showing the university’s dedication to creating a supportive environment for both academic and personal growth. Additionally, Dr. Shagull, Research Assistant, delivered an inspiring speech to the students, sharing her experiences as an alumna. She discussed the reasons behind choosing this university and expressed her pride in being associated with it.
Videos of student’s activity were also presented. At the end of the ceremony, faculty staff conducted a guided tour for the students, visiting laboratories and sections relevant to pharmaceutical studies. This provided students an opportunity to see the equipment and technologies used in their pharmacy studies, and served as an introduction to university campus life.
