Faculty of Pharmacy Visits Governmental Orphanage in Erbil

On February 28th, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University visited the governmental orphanage in Erbil to inquire about their needs and understand how the faculty could provide support. The visit was part of a community service program aimed at providing assistance to underprivileged members of society.

During the visit, our faculty members, Dr. Parua WalziDr. Zeytun Hameed & Dr. Saya Mohammed, spoke to the managers of both the girls’ and boys’ sections of the orphanage, learning about their daily routines and the challenges they face. They also asked about the orphanage’s most pressing needs, including food, clothing, and medical supplies.

The Faculty of Pharmacy pledged to help meet these needs by providing donations and other forms of support. They also offered to plan entertaining activities for the kids to perform in the coming visits. The orphanage staff expressed their gratitude for the visit and the support offered by the faculty of pharmacy. They noted that the orphanage relies on the community’s generosity to provide for the children in their care.

The faculty members conveyed their commitment to continuing their outreach efforts and supporting those in need. They urged others to join them in their efforts to impact the lives of those less fortunate positively.
