On April 29, 2025, Tishk International University held its eighth annual Spring festival, which highlighted diversity as a strength and unity as a power. The Dean of Students organised the event, which was a lively celebration of diversity, tolerance, and education. The number of faculty, students, international guests, and members of the general public exceeded 6,000.
Twenty science tents highlighting cutting-edge research, technology, and innovation were on display during the festival. To promote worldwide understanding and unity, thirty cultural tents displayed the diverse customs, languages, and identities of many nations and communities.
Housewife entrepreneurs’ homemade items were displayed in 16 tents, with a focus on women’s empowerment and economic participation; these tents promoted good work, gender equality, and the strength and inventiveness of local women.
The university’s commitment to community service and sustainable development was on full display as forty food fundraising booths were set up to promote charity causes.
Pharmacy faculty members from Palestine, India, and Erbil displayed their cultural tents, emphasizing their distinct historical, cultural, and traditional backgrounds.
The festival provided opportunities for people to meet, collaborate, and learn about various cultures. It called for a world in which people coexist peacefully. Students, educators, and members of the general public attended academic seminars and cultural activities, establishing a culture of lifelong learning and expanding educational options. Gaining financial backing and showcasing completed projects and research also helped to increase the number of available positions. By presenting these unique festivals, the festival fostered unity, contributed to the reduction of inequity, and recognized many cultural traditions.
