On 4th May 2026, the Career Development Skills Training Program was launched by the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University for Grade 3 students. The initial sessions introduced the concepts of employability skills and the stages of career development, beginning with self-discovery and exploration and extending to continuous growth and professional development. Students were introduced to the importance of career planning and building sustainable career pathways, alongside an overview of essential 21st-century employability skills.
On 11th May 2026, the second series of training sessions commenced, focusing on professional email writing and resume preparation. Students actively participated in group activities and case-study discussions that encouraged the application of teamwork, problem-solving, patient counseling, time management, empathy, and other personal and interpersonal skills. The students demonstrated great enthusiasm in communicating their ideas and presenting practical solutions.
This program represents an important initiative in preparing students for real-life workplace environments and enhancing their professional readiness. The Faculty of Pharmacy extends its sincere appreciation to the trainer, the carrier development center at TIU, the Head of Department and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy for their continuous support and dedication in organizing and facilitating this valuable program.
Furthermore, this initiative contributes to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting lifelong learning and practical skill development, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by equipping students with competencies essential for future employment and professional success.
