Seminar: Drug Development Process & How to Get Involved in Company Sponsored Research
On April 24th, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted an insightful visit from Awamedica Company, a notable pharmaceutical organisation, on April 24th, 2024. The visit was arranged by Dr. Abdulsamad Salahuddin, displaying a proactive stance in establishing connections between academia and industry. The key event of the visit was a strategic meeting with Dr. Ahmed Zuhair, the marketing manager from Awamedica Company and a member of the Industrial Advisor Committee.
A visit was made by Dr. Ahmed Zuhair to TIU. Staff and fifth-grade students attended his seminar entitled “The Drug Development Process and How to Participate in Company-Sponsored Research.” The seminar informed attendees on fundamental and advanced ideas, enabling them to comprehend the process of conducting research with organisations such as Awamedica. Dr. Ahmed Zuhair also provided a comprehensive explanation of the fundamentals of clinical research, which facilitated comprehension of the phases and particulars of significant studies.
The purpose of this partnership between the Faculty of Pharmacy and Awamedica Company is to foster innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and motivate students, which is advantageous for both academia and business.
