Guardians Meeting for 1st Year Students
Recently, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) convened a guardians meeting for the parents of incoming freshmen. The purpose of the meeting was to acquaint parents with the faculty and enhance their comprehension of the academic operations of the university. It was held on May 9th, 2024, and invitations were distributed in advance to ensure proper planning.
The Head of Department at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Dr. Esra Tariq, cordially welcomed the parents. The speaker presented a comprehensive outline of the regulations set forth by the faculty and delineated the means by which pupils may obtain data pertaining to their academic performance, homework submissions, and attendance.
The Dean of Students’ representative, Dr. Rozhan Arif, elaborated on the extracurricular activities that supplement academic pursuits. These activities included community service projects (such as Autism Awareness Day, orphanages, and drug abuse and misuse) and served to inform parents about the experiences that their children may have while attending the faculty.
In addition to a tour of the faculty labs, the meeting provided parents with an insight into the academic environment. Overall, the event facilitated connections between parents and faculty members and enhanced comprehension of the academic framework of the university.
