White Coat Ceremony
On April 7th, 2024, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) hosted the White Coat Ceremony for its first-grade students, welcoming them into the pharmacy profession. The event also honoured the top three students from all grades, recognizing their talent and dedication.
Dr. Shiva Sirwan, the host and a research assistant, opened the ceremony with a warm welcome. Dr. Abu Orabi-Sultan, President of Tishk International University, praised the achievements of the top 3 students, emphasizing their importance to the profession. Dr. Abdulsamad, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, delivered a motivational speech about the responsibility of wearing the lab coat. He stressed its significance beyond a symbol of knowledge to represent commitment and honesty. Dr. Shagul Sameah, a former top student now a Research Assistant at TIU, shared her journey and motivated the students further. Certificates and gifts were given to the top 3 students of all grades, whose achievements serves as a source of pride for our university.
Dr. Esra Tariq, Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, led the oath ceremony, highlighting the values associated with wearing the lab coat for first grade students.The ceremony concluded with photos to commemorate the day and the students’ commitment to their profession.
