Innovative Synergy: Faculty of Pharmacy at TIU and Awamedica

On January 22nd, 2024, the Dean of Students at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University (TIU) organized a visit to Awamedica. This visit proved to be exceptionally productive, marked by in-depth discussions that spanned a range of initiatives. The deliberations commenced with the exploration of formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and extended to the establishment of an advisory committee. The collaboration envisioned encompassed guest lectures by industry experts, active participation in workshops and conferences, facilitation of internships, and the initiation of various collaborative activities, including shared research endeavours.

Notably, the dialogues between the two parties emphasized the incorporation of industry-based technical electives into the curriculum. Awamedica authorities, demonstrating their commitment, expressed their readiness to support the Faculty of Pharmacy at TIU in the delivery of certification courses. In a spirit of mutual understanding, long-term projects were conceived, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 and 17, with the aim of enhancing community welfare.
