Food Fundraising Event
Each year, the Deanery of Students at Tishk International University (TIU) organizes an annual fundraising event to support the university’s community service projects. This year’s event took place on November 29th, 2023, and saw an active participation from the Faculty of Pharmacy, guided by the Faculty’s Dean of Student Representatives. The aim was to raise funds for three significant projects: Autism Care and Awareness, Orphanage Support, and Drug Misuse and Abuse.
The faculty students, under the leadership of their class advisors, enthusiastically contributed to this noble cause. Advisors from Grades 2 to 5 encouraged students to participate by bringing a variety of delicious foods, homemade treats, snacks, drinks, and craft items. The commitment and effort put forth by our students were truly remarkable. They dedicated substantial time and energy to the success of the event, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to making a positive community impact. Impressively, our faculty alone managed to collect approximately 1,500,000 IQD.
More than just a fundraising event, this occasion provided a valuable learning opportunity for students, offering them insights into societal issues and the significance of contributing to positive change. The collaborative efforts of the Dean of Students’ Office and the university community underscored TIU’s dedication to fostering social responsibility among its students. The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University continues to be a beacon of social good, instilling in its students the values of compassion and commitment to community engagement.
