2nd INTERNATIONAL PHARMACY WORKSHOP ON METABOLIC SYNDROME (MetS) – (IPW -2022)
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University hosted the 2nd International Pharmacy Workshop on Metabolic Syndrome (IPW-2022) in Erbil on May 18th, 2022, to share the theme of research on ” Current and Future Therapies for “Metabolic Syndrome.”
Over 100 people from government, non-governmental, and international universities from Malaysia, India, and Saudi Arabia attended the workshop online.
The 2nd International Pharmacy Workshop began at 10:00 A.M. with a welcome statement delivered by Dr Esra Bayrakdar and an opening speech by Dr Abdul Samad Salahuddin Ahmad, President of Tishk International University. Dr Duran Kala also addressed the participants and welcomed all keynote speakers to the event.
The workshop aimed to share and learn from the expertise of experienced professionals in Pharmacy.
Dr Mahendran Sekar, Associate Professor & Head, Royal College of Medicine, Malaysia and Dr Prof. Balakumar Pitchai, Consulting Editor, Pharmacological Research-Elsevier, India, delivered their presentations and succeeded in a dynamic and thorough Q&A session.
Other invited speakers discussed a variety of other essential topics. Dr Subasini, the workshop’s Organizing Secretary, thanked the Head of Department, Dean of Pharmacy, Keynote Speakers, and other workshop attendees for their contributions to the session’s success. She also discussed the importance of metabolic syndrome and its ramifications for one’s health.
