In the holy month of Mawlid al-Nabawi, which marks the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Faculty of Pharmacy at Tishk International University held a celebration on the 25th of October, 2021. The event was organized by the Dean of Students Representatives Office, as well as Faculty teachers and students.

The ceremony started with a beautiful recitation of the Holy Quran by one of our students and was followed by a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Duran Kala, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Mr. Ali Bala, Dean of Students, in which they discussed the holiness of this month and the highlighted the importance of Mawlid al-Nabi amongst the Islamic nation. Many Muslims across the world view this festival as means to teach their communities about the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) way of life, which all Muslims seek to emulate and honor. Celebrations are conducted in various forms, aiming to commemorate the life of our beloved Prophet (PBUH), who was sent as mercy upon mankind.

Dr. Mudhaffer Mustafa Ameen presented a seminar about the contributions of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) in medicine and discussed the hadiths and stories relating to how these contributions are still used nowadays to cure many diseases.

Also, students of the daf club organized a stunning performance and sang a devotional song that portrays the wonderful personality of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The performance created a special and spiritual environment, enjoyed by both staff and students. Roses, gifts, and desserts of different sorts were distributed amongst the participants and attendees of the occasion.
