Faculty of Pharmacy Orientation Program for Freshmen students

In collaboration with the Dean of Student’s Representatives, the Faculty of Pharmacy organized an orientation program for the newest members of the Pharmacy family, the freshman students. The program was held in three sessions over the course of two days (December 14th and 19th, 2021) in form of small groups due to COVID-19 regulations.

The program was presented by Dr. Esra Bayraktar, Head of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and Dr. Rozhan Arif, Coordinator of Faculty and Dean of Student’s Representative, with the participation of faculty research assistants.

During the introduction, the speakers conveyed general information about university life, the Pharmacy career, and the start of their academic journey. The program also covered the SIS system,  regulations, and disciplines of the department, and all participants were given a CD as a handbook to guide them through their academic journey. Our 5th-grade students Muhammed Sultan, Rayan Bejan, and Omer Nacmaddin also participated in this program by sharing their experience with the new first-grade students and expressed both their assistance and support.

At the end of the program, students were informed of the extracurricular activities taking place at Tishk International University and the opportunities that they will have in participating through various projects, and their chance to unleash their capabilities and talent. The program was finalized by and Q&A session held by Assistant Mr. Tahir Swara.
